3rd again for Downing in Tour of Britain
After a solid 4th in round 4 for CandiTV/Marshalls rider, Russell Downing, round 5 on home turf for the team saw him achieve his best Tour of Britain result so far. Russell finished stage 5 in 3rd, followed by a second 3rd place finish in stage 6 which lifts him in to 5th overall with team mate Malcolm Elliott in 16th.
Don't forget you can follow the CandiTV/Marshalls cycling team in the Tour of Britain, 7PM on ITV4. Friday will have all the highlights from stage 7, Hatherleigh to Yeovil, with the final stage of the tour in London on Saturday evening.
