Pedal For Scotland

Pedal For Scotland returns on 27 August for its eighth year as Scotland’s biggest mass participation bike ride.

You can challenge yourself and your friends to beat a target time or just enjoy a leisurely ride, enjoy the sights, the company and the rest stops between Scotland’s most famous cities.

Starting in Glasgow’s George Square and finishing in Edinburgh, you can take two hours or all day, raising money for Leukaemia Reseach as you go.

Plus, Nell Nelson, STV’s star of “The Woman Who Ate Scotland” has signed up for Pedal For Scotland, the annual fund-raising event due to take place on 27th August. Armed with her trusted bike, Nell will be teaming up once again with Marshalls Pasta to raise money for this year’s chosen charity, Leukaemia Research.

As well as being a major sponsor of the Pedal For Scotland event, Marshalls Pasta will also be hosting the annual Pasta Party in Linlithgow along the chosen route. Riders can top up their energy levels with a healthy hot Marshalls Pasta meal, that will help them on their 47.5 mile journey from Glasgow to the finish line at Edinburgh’s Roseburn Park.

Already in light training, we eventually caught up with Nell who commented, “Pedal For Scotland is such a great fun day out for all the family and not only promotes a healthy lifestyle but raises money for a good cause. I’m really looking forward to taking part and am just hoping that the sun shines on the day!”
