Marshalls success at the Smithfield Nocturne
Ian Bibby followed up his win in the Tour Series race in Stoke on Thursday night, with victory in front of 10,000 fans at the Smithfield Nocturne after a fast and furious race at which Mark Cavendish was in attendance..
Hannah Barnes won Women's Race, repeating her victory from last year. In a break with 4 other riders, she lapped most of the rest of the field, before coming in first down the long finish straight.
The Nocturne Series continues on the July 3 in Edinburgh - watch out for the Marshalls Pasta sponsored folding bike race!
Halfords tour series concludes tomorrow night in Woking
The penultimate round in Chester saw the very first 1-2-3 when Team Endura took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places to win on the night. A bad crash was disastrous for Rapha Condor Sharp, which means that the Series is closely poised, with Mortorpoint-Marshalls Pasta in 1st place, with a lead of 2 points from Endura.
