We officially launched our brand new cookbook ‘MACARONI – Mac & Cheese but not as you know it’ last month at Sloans Bar in Glasgow.
We produced the cookbook to showcase the diversity that is available when cooking and eating macaroni, a trend that clearly isn’t going away. Sixty one dedicated SMAC (Scottish macaroni appreciation society) members made their pledge to all things macaroni, before tucking into five magical macaroni dishes. These included Christmas Dinner, with all the trimmings Mac and Mac Forest Cheesecake, which is a recipe featured in the book, donated by Gerry Healy, the head chef at Sloans.
Our innovative cookbook offers over 40 variations on good old mac and cheese, a collection submitted from all over Scotland, which includes some classics from Marshalls, family favourites from Facebook fans and hearty recipes from head chefs. The ingredients and methodology are easy to pick up and there are some detailed photographs showing how your dish will turn out.
A great cookbook and even better Christmas gift for those who love pasta, and mac and cheese.
